Primed to Expect Rejection.
This was the final project for a print graphic design class. I was instructed to take a magazine and cut a 1x1” square in one location through the entire magazine resulting in several random images and pieces. Then, I uploaded those pieces for use on InDesign to tell a cohesive story using the seemingly random images. To tell a story of personal relevance, I took and adapted the text from Michael Hobbes’ The Epidemic of Gay Loneliness to highlight the darkness of gay experiences.
The following below is the digital result; the final result was printed into a 1x1” booklet which is why some of the pages are 1x2”. The original cut-out images are to the right.
